Acceptable Use Policy Letter to the Principal This artifact supports the element of Visionary Leadership of the ISTE Standards for Coaches because the letter advocates for the “policies, procedures, programs, and funding strategies to support implementation of the shared vision” of our school district (ISTE, 2018, p.1). The use of technology throughout the school day in my district is highly desirable. We are moving away from the traditional foundations of a brick and mortar classroom. Our school board and superintendent want the teachers to include technology in a variety of ways throughout the school day. As a result, having an Acceptable Use Policy in place for the use of technology for our students as well as faculty needs to be implemented so that we can be aware of accepted use of our iPads and other technologies.
Integrating Technology into Teaching Models Presentation This artifact supports the element of Visionary Leadership of the ISTE Standards for Coaches by contributing to the “development, communication, and implementation of a shared vision” of our school district (ISTE, 2018, p.1). Understanding models in for the integration of technology and how they relate to different learning theories is beneficial to the teacher so that he or she can learn to differentiate instruction within his or her classroom.
